Gingerbread Martini

Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

This delicious gingerbread martini is a wonderful cocktail to celebrate the holiday season!  It's a sweet, creamy dessert cocktail that's spiced with festive flavors.  It tastes like Christmas - so it's the perfect holiday cocktail!

This sweet cocktail will get you in the holiday spirit.  Gingerbread syrup is combined with milk, cream liqueur, and vodka to create the perfect gingerbread cocktail recipe. It is easy to make and can be made ahead of time and made in big batches if you are entertaining a crowd.

Ingredient Notes

This delicious Christmas cocktail is simple to make and is always a crowd-pleaser. You will need:

  • Cream liqueur - Either Baileys or Irish Cream Liqueur will work well for this creamy cocktail. For dairy free drinkers, Bailey's makes an almond milk version that you can substitute.
  • Vodka - Use your favorite vodka brand in this cocktail.  I like to use either plain vodka or vanilla vodka for a little extra sweetness.
  • Whole milk or Heavy Cream - For a creamy base to the cocktail.  If you're dairy free, I'd recommend using plant-based cream since most plant milks are very thin.
  • Gingerbread Syrup - You can buy ready made gingerbread syrup or you can make your own homemade gingerbread syrup with the instructions at the bottom of this post.
  • Ice cubes - This drink is best served cold.  It's like having gingerbread cookies with a big glass of cold milk.

See the recipe card at the bottom of the post for the full recipe with measurements.

Garnish Suggestions

  • A cinnamon stick.
  • Fresh springs of rosemary - the smell is a nice compliment to the spices of the drink.
  • A cinnamon sugar rim.
  • A cookie rim made of graham cracker crumbs
  • A generous dollop of whipped cream dusted with cinnamon or ginger.
  • A gingersnap cookie or a small gingerbread cookie.

Glassware for Serving this Cocktail

This cocktail should be served in a martini glass. Chilling the glass beforehand will help to keep the cocktail cold, since it is not served with ice.
