Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade (Starbucks Copycat)

Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

I love iced tea and lemonade in the summer months, so this drink is one of my favorite ways to cool off! If you love the popular iced peach green tea lemonade drink from Starbucks then you are going to love this peach tea copycat recipe. It is just as delicious and refreshing - as well as cheaper, and you don't need to leave the house on a hot day. LOL.

Iced peach green tea recipe is a unique variation of classic iced tea, made by combining green tea and fresh peaches with a splash of lemon. The result is a delicious and refreshing drink that is perfect for a hot summer day.  This light and fruity peach green tea recipe is easy to make at home and enjoy all summer long.

Why you will love this recipe

  • Perfect Summer drink. This ice tea is refreshing, fruity, sweet, and chilled. Everything you want for summer!
  • Cost Effective. It is much cheaper to make this homemade recipe than to buy it at the local coffee shop.
  • Customizable. You can control the amount of sugar use and the type of tea.
  • Full of real, fresh flavor. This recipe uses fresh fruit for real peach flavor. Nothing artificial here!

Ingredient Notes

  • Green tea bags - Use your favorite, good quality green tea.  Green tea gives a little caffeine boost to this popular drink, but not as much caffeine as black tea.
  • Fresh peaches -  Adds natural peach flavor. Starbucks uses a combination of fruit juices instead of real peaches. I like to use fresh juicy peaches!
  • Honey - I like use honey but you could also sweeten your tea with maple syrup, agave syrup, or any other preferred sweetener.
  • Lemon juice - Balances the flavors and keeps the drink fresh and zesty.  If you prefer, you could use store bought lemonade and skip the sweetener.
  • Ice cubes - Makes the tea deliciously cold and refreshing.

Serving Suggestions

I like to add chopped fresh fruit to my peach green tea. You could add strawberries, orange slices, lemon slices, apples, and even more fresh peach.

This ice tea is also delicious served with fresh mint.

How to Make Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade

  • STEP ONE: Bring the water to a boil in a small pot over medium-high heat.
  • STEP TWO:  Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat to low. Add the green tea bags, half the peaches, lemon juice, and honey. Taste and adjust sweetness according to preference.
  • STEP THREE: Allow to gently simmer for five minutes. Turn off the heat and allow the mixture to reach room temperature.
  • STEP FIVE: Strain the mixture and pour it into a large pitcher and add the remaining peaches. Keep refrigerated until ready for serving. Fill glasses with ice cubes and add the peach green tea.  Garnish with peach slices, fresh fruit or a sprig of mint.

Expert Tips

  • Use high-quality tea. Using high-quality tea leaves is crucial for making a flavorful iced tea. Look for tea leaves that are whole and unbroken, as they will release more flavor and aroma when steeped.
  • Brew at the right temperature. Different types of tea require different brewing temperatures and times. Generally, green tea should be brewed at a lower temperature (around 175°F) for 2-3 minutes, while black tea can be brewed at a higher temperature (around 212°F) for 3-5 minutes. Over-brewing can result in a bitter taste, so be mindful of the time and temperature.
  • Use filtered water. Using filtered water can improve the taste of your iced tea. Tap water may contain minerals and chemicals that can affect the taste of the tea, so using filtered water can result in a cleaner and fresher taste.
  • Experiment with flavors. Iced tea is a versatile drink that can be customized to your liking. Experiment with different flavors such as adding fruits, herbs, or spices to create a unique and flavorful drink. Some popular options include adding lemon or mint to black tea, or peaches or berries to green tea.
  • Chill the tea before serving.  Chilling the tea before serving is important to prevent dilution and ensure a refreshing taste. You can chill the tea in the refrigerator or add ice cubes before serving.

You can store this peach green tea in a fridge for up to five days. Just fill a glass with ice cubes and top with the tea whenever you are ready to enjoy!
