Jump to Recipe Print Recipe

If you're looking for another pumpkin drink to enjoy, let me introduce you to the perfect fall drink recipe - iced pumpkin chai latte.  It's like the cousin to a pumpkin spice latte and I'm here for it! This delicious drink is a blend of black tea, pumpkin, chai spice and milk and it's definitely one of my favorite Fall drinks.

This recipe is so easy to make and it will be ready in just five minutes. This iced chai latte is made with simple ingredients that are easy to find in  your local grocery store - no need to buy any fancy sauces or syrups.

This iced latte is a true celebration of the fall season. It is a tasty combination of pumpkin, warm spices, and maple syrup - and let's not forget the tea to give you a kick of caffeine!

Ingredients & Notes

  • Chai Tea - You can use chai tea concentrate if you'd like, but I prefer to brew a strong cup of chai using 2 tea bags with about 4 ounces of water.
  • Milk - Being your own barista means you can use any type of milk you like - dairy or non-dairy. I like to use whole milk or oat milk for a vegan version of the drink.  You could also replace the milk with heavy cream for an even creamier drink.
  • Pumpkin purée - Make sure to use pure pumpkin puree instead of pumpkin pie filling.  You can buy this in any grocery store or use homemade pumpkin puree.
  • Maple syrup - The maple flavor combines so well with the spices and pumpkin.
  • Vanilla extract - This enhances the flavor of the latte and gives it a delicious vanilla flavor.
  • Chai spices - Masala chai spice is a mixture of cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger and cloves.  I like to use Chai mix from Spicewalla, since they're located in my home town.  You can order this delicious mix from Amazon. If you can't find chai spice mix, pumpkin pie spice will work as a substitute.
  • Whipped cream (optional) - For a vegan latte, you can top your drink with whipped coconut cream instead or vegan whipped cream.

How to Make an Iced Pumpkin Chai Latte

This delicious latte recipe is prepared with just four easy steps.

  • STEP ONE: Prepare your chai tea and set it aside to cool to room temperature.
  • STEP TWO: Add the remaining ingredients into a high-speed blender and blend together until smooth and well combined, about 2 minutes. If you don't have a blender, you could also add all the ingredients to a mason jar with a lid and shake them together until well combined.
  • STEP THREE: Fill a serving glass with ice and pour over the prepared tea.
  • STEP FOUR: Add the pumpkin spice cream mixture and gently stir to combine. Enjoy immediately as is or optionally top with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or chai spice mix.
