Ingredients & Notes
- Chai Tea - You can use chai tea concentrate if you'd like, but I prefer to brew a strong cup of chai using 2 tea bags with about 4 ounces of water.
- Milk - Being your own barista means you can use any type of milk you like - dairy or non-dairy. I like to use whole milk or oat milk for a vegan version of the drink. You could also replace the milk with heavy cream for an even creamier drink.
- Pumpkin purée - Make sure to use pure pumpkin puree instead of pumpkin pie filling. You can buy this in any grocery store or use homemade pumpkin puree.
- Maple syrup - The maple flavor combines so well with the spices and pumpkin.
- Vanilla extract - This enhances the flavor of the latte and gives it a delicious vanilla flavor.
- Chai spices - Masala chai spice is a mixture of cardamom, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, ginger and cloves. I like to use Chai mix from Spicewalla, since they're located in my home town. You can order this delicious mix from Amazon. If you can't find chai spice mix, pumpkin pie spice will work as a substitute.
- Whipped cream (optional) - For a vegan latte, you can top your drink with whipped coconut cream instead or vegan whipped cream.
